CHANEL D. LONG is an attorney and currently leads the Public Defender’s Office for the 25th Judicial District. She has previously worked as a Staff Attorney for the Orleans Public Defender’s Officer and as the Director of Training for the 22nd Judicial District Public Defender’s Office. She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Public Defender Association of Louisiana, and the Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. Chanel received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The Tennessee State University and her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. Chanel is also a proud Crescent City Schools parent.
